The image of a young James sits opposite this description of an incident or series of incidents that best explain how I am given information that then goes into the book, My Truth Lies in the Ruins.
After completing the pastel on James I thought about revising it; changing the lips, altering the robe or hood that covers his face. I distinctly heard: leave it alone; it is done! Everyone loves it, the eyes are very good. etc. Well, Spirit is generally very forth coming with their comments. When I did the first pastel of William le Hardi he came back with a list of seven things that required changing. I had thought I was done; but change it I did! So I quit work on the pastel and treated it with the finishing spray.
The next morning at 3 am I was awakened and started seeing clear video images of a scene: the burial of William le Hardi in Essex, England with a young James wearing the hood, the very same image I had drawn from memory from the scenes months ago. Only this time I was given more details: the wooden coffin which was very expensive in medieval England was discarded for another coffin of stone. Since William le Hardi was such a large man I questioned this. I was told that the parish priest had such a coffin from another family member, a knight in the de Hastings family and the coffin was abandoned for a tomb they built in stead. They also showed James and others putting in a bed of fresh charcoal with some rosemary, thyme, and lavender before setting the shrouded body into the stone chamber. They actually rolled the stone coffin to the graveside before transferring the body. Then I saw James repeat a Celtic ritual with the sword of his father that he presented to the widow at the end of the ceremony. I saw additional details that I had either missed in the earlier message some months ago, or other facts that were now be added for benefit of the book.
This evidence was further validation of information I had received previously; and it was enhanced with more details. And this time I could ask questions from my guide as the "video ran its course" to clarify what was going on during the event. I had also just received another piece of the puzzle from a professional researcher in England recommended by the Public Records Office in Kew Surrey, who read in an old deed that William le Hardi’s wife was later buried in this same Little Dunmow Priory that I was shown: primary information that backed the story presented by Spirit. The facts from deeds and the images from Spirit come together well; it "makes sense" that the widow would want to buried next to her husband and not down the road some five miles away in the Lovaine family tomb at Little Easton.
This example is typical; it has been the process for the information I assembled for the book, My Truth Lies in the Ruins. Since guides were human too, these guides have personalities and technique. This method for disseminating information is how they have come to work through me; it does not necessarily apply to how others receive their information from Spirit.
